I first decided to write this blog for my family and friends who asked how they can get started selling on eBay. I will discuss getting started on eBay and Amazon and other online opportunities that I am involved in or have come across.
Let me tell you a little more about myself. I’ve had a business of some sort since I was a little girl when I had my first lemonade stand and then a Newspaper route as a teenager. That was my entrepreneurial beginning. I’ve also been a Private Investigator and a representative for Tupperware and Avon. I have also made and sold Handmade Crafts, and I’ve been involved with several network marketing companies. Presently, I am a part-time Real Estate agent working as a Referral Agent since the market slowed in 2006. I have a full-time job, but I have always done some type of part-time business; maybe because my father was an entrepreneur and instilled in me that I should work for myself. So I am one of those people a Jill of all trade. Of all the businesses that I’ve had over the years I love selling on eBay and Amazon the most and I’ve made the most money doing so. My goal is to be able to help family members and also retire comfortably with a passive income.
I’ve been an eBay member since 1999 and I started selling seriously a couple of years later when I purchased several Enesco Country Cousins figurines at a Thrift Store. Like most people I had no idea these items would sell or for how much. I was pleasantly surprised when I immediately began to receive bids as soon as I listed these items. I sold 6 Country Cousins over seven days, and one even sold for more than $80.00, I think I paid $0.59 for it. That was it for me; I was hooked on eBay! I started selling books first on Half.com in 2002 and then on Amazon in 2007.
Check back often, I will give you tips on selling on Amazon and eBay.
